The Mud and
Muck Society. We are an Archaeological Surface Collecting Team working in Central Connecticut and New England. |
|
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Mud and Muck Web Site.
We are a small group of friends, amateur archaeologists, and surface hunters
of artifacts. When we meet as a group, we share finds and keep records. We also
take digital photos of our finds as part of this process, thereby allowing us
to share them with you herein. Of course, life's responsibilities, time
constraints and weather conditions determine our looking time which has become less
and less these days.
We try to wait until most if not all members have made finds before we meet.
Many areas we have looked in the past have been lost to construction or the
changing of times. Unfortunately, the laws of our state do to little to protect
archeological sites
before they are destroyed and information can be gained. It is however our
hobby
of passion and we will continue as long as possible to build an informational
website and database. A special thanks to our webmaster. Please feel free to
contact us or visit our message board. Steve-Recordkeeper |
